PAWS NY - Volunteer Orientation February 3rd 2021
This session will be offered as a virtual training. Although many of our volunteer services are currently suspended, it is vital that we onboard as many volunteers as possible now to service what we expect to be a growing number of people who need our help in the future.
Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS NY) is a grassroots, volunteer-driven organization. If you enjoy spending time with both people and pets, we offer wonderful opportunities for our volunteers (18 years old+)* to provide direct services to our clients, mainly through our Housecall Program. Volunteers help walk dogs, clean the litter box, transport to the vet, and other daily tasks our clients are struggling to do on their own. Volunteers are asked to make the following minimum commitment: at least one visit per week for at least 6 months.
In order to begin providing services, all volunteers are required to attend an orientation. You will learn more about PAWS NY and the services you will ultimately provide to our clients, so please sign up today. We hope you will join us!
